One of Southwest Florida’s largest candidate forums featuring a straw ballot vote, the Golden Gate Candidate Forum will be held from 6:30-8:30, Tuesday, July 15, at the Golden Gate Community Center, 4701 Golden Gate Parkway.
Hosted by the Golden Gate Area Civic Association, the Golden Gate Estates Area Civic Association and the NAACP of Collier County, previous Golden Gate Candidate Forums have drawn more than 600 voting members of the public. The straw ballot will be conducted by the Collier County Supervisor of Elections Office and there is no age limit for voting. The ballot results will be announced to the public at the conclusion of the forum.
Candidates vying for positions or issues pertinent to the Golden Gate or Golden Gate Estates community are invited to speak and respond to written questions from the audience. Participating candidate will be provided display space to share candidate information. All candidates for office are invited to attend to meet and greet voters.
