The Golden Gate Civic Association was formed in 1966 to address community needs and establish future goals of the community.
Over the years, the Association has played a significant role in establishing its own fire control & rescue district as well as two municipal service taxing units, one to oversee the Golden Gate Community Center and the other for median beautification.
Today, the Association continues to be the main watchdog for the community as a not for profit organization dedicated to the betterment of the four-mile-square community of Golden Gate city.
