Iberia logoNaples, FL (March 31, 2014) – IBERIABANK (www.iberiabank.com), a 127-year-old subsidiary of IBERIABANK Corporation, continues the “i Gives Back” community outreach program with a post-tax season shred event in Golden Gate on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Residents and small business owners are invited to dispose of outdated bank statements, checks, contracts, junk mail and other documents in a safe and secure manner. A professional truck from Shred-It, a NAID certified document destruction company, will be onsite at 5247 Golden Gate Parkway from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“April is a great month to go through filing cabinets and drawers to dispose of outdated documents. Not only are many of us doing this already because of tax season, but it is also great for the environment and coincides with Earth Day during the month of April. We’ve collected over 60 tons of paper at our IBERIABANK shred parties thus far. We’re literally keeping tons of paper out of our landfill, and we’re helping people prevent identity theft,” said Maria Botana, Vice President and Branch Manager for IBERIABANK’s Golden Gate Office.

A $3.00 voluntary donation will be collected for each box or bag of shredded material. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Grace Place for Children and Families to provide repairs for their school bus. Grace Place is a faith-based non-profit neighborhood center that is working to break the cycle of poverty by teaching literacy, language and life skills to at-risk children and families in Golden Gate City. For more information about the event, call Maria Botana at (239) 403-2557. Shredding is limited to 15 boxes per person.
