Make the Gate Great!
May was full of activities that continue to help us get to know each other and our community a little better.
In addition to our regular meetings, the business community held their first business breakfast in order to bring the business community together to begin to network, explore opportunities, and build a more unified business community. See a photo gallery and a little more about that – Click Here!

A small group of us helped serve lemonade to over a thousand people who gathered for the sheriff departments’ 5Ks Fun Run, that takes people through all parts of the community and show how safe the community is. There were many community organizations spreading information to the community. In addition, a short presentation was held with a few dignitaries on had to show their support in our efforts to “Make the Gate Great.”
To brighten up the community, we continued in our effort to have the most patriotic community in Collier County by putting out about 1,000 flags in our medians. She the photos – Click Here!
People and families of all ages joined the effort. The effort even made the Naples Daily News Starfish award – to see it – Click Here!
Upcoming Events – Mark Your Calendar
We set the date for the Golden Gate Candidate Forum for Tuesday, July 15th from 6:30 to 8:30. This is one of the most well attended candidate forums of the area, with voter registrations, voting booths, and a chance to hear the candidate speak about the issues for our area. We partner with the Golden Gate Estate Civic Association and the NAACP to host the event. We need lots of volunteers to keep it running smoothly. Our last one had over 600 people voting in that short time frame.
Spread the news to any candidates you feel should be attending so they can get it on their calendar.
