Over 210 voters came out to meet, greet, listen and vote during the 2014 Golden Gate Candidate Forum, July 15, at the Golden Gate Community Center. The event was hosted by the Golden Gate Civic Association, Golden Gate Estates Area Civic Association and the NAACP of Collier County.
The auditorium seating was filled to capacity as 21 candidates and representatives of five ballot amendments were given two minutes each to present their platforms. Moderator for the evening was Radio talk show host Rick Borman, who presented the nine Collier County School Board candidates with written questions from the audience.
