goldengateThe Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold a public workshop for the Golden Gate City Walkable Community Study on January 21, at the Golden Gate Community Center, Room AB, 4701 Golden Gate Parkway, Naples, Fla. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a brief presentation, followed by a question and answer session.

The purpose of this public meeting is to engage the residents of Golden Gate City to discuss the need for a Walkable Community Study in the area. If deemed desirable by the community, the study will evaluate existing pedestrian facilities and examine future opportunities on public roadways in Golden Gate City. The findings will be used to assist the MPO Board in making pedestrian improvement decisions in the community. The study can also be useful in assisting various Collier County agencies in setting priorities, requesting and allocating funds, and building infrastructure improvements.

The public is encouraged to attend the workshop and provide comments and recommendations.
